Outside Sales Representative - Toronto

We are looking for high energy, competitive individuals as we scale our Sales teams across the globe from Toronto to New York City to Mexico City and London in the UK. Our software is used as far as Hong Kong and Australia and this is an exciting period of growth for our company, especially in Sales as we continue to shatter company records.

As an Outside Sales Representative - Toronto at TouchBistro Inc. you will be selling our iPad-based point of sale solution by visiting restaurants in person. Using our core value propositions and your extensive product knowledge, you will navigate through the sales cycle from prospecting to conducting demonstrations to closing a deal, predominantly outside. This role requires a sunny disposition, tenacity, strong communication, and natural sales abilities like persuasion and active listening. The right person will be competitive and have 1-3 years in a quota based sales position (preferably some outside sales), as well as some experience working in a restaurant or bar. This role is 80% outside prospecting and performing demonstrations on potential client sites and 20% in office doing administration and research.

YOUR DAY-to-DAY

  • Qualify inbound leads through our market development team
  • Build your own book of business through outside prospecting of food and drink venues such as restaurants, bars, cafes, food trucks etc. 
  • Conduct in-person product demonstrations of the point of sale solution
  • Prepare quotes for qualified prospects and collect payment
  • Track restaurant visits, phone calls, emails, and update Salesforce accurately
  • Prioritize and Organize your sales funnel and pipeline
  • Learn about our product and current restaurant industry trends to be able to perform sales calls and demonstrations effectively

 

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Completed a University Degree and/or 2 years College Diploma from an accredited institution
  • 1-3 years of recent sales experience including: business development in a "hunter" role, performing demonstrations, closing deals
  • You have a natural knack for understanding issues restaurateurs face from your experience working in a restaurant or bar
  • Experience in an outside sales role is a huge benefit
  • Experience in a quota based or metrics driven sales role: number of calls, revenue, number of deals, etc.
  • Top performer or highly ranked versus your peers and a track record of personal success
  • Perfect communication and great listening skills
  • Humble and coachable: you are able to take critical feedback
  • A continuous student and always learning new things on your spare time
  • High energy and a can-do attitude: the rain or snow will not deter you from running your day
